We were desperate to find a place to get our knives sharpened but also worried that we had destroyed them over the years. We had been sharpening regularly at home but were never able to replicate that new knife sharpness. When we started searching places, Knife Aid popped up first on Google. We immediately loved the idea of the ease of just dropping them off in my mailbox. We signed up for 5 knives, one time sharpening.

The website gave a timeline on how long we would be without our knives, but we would say it took longer due to USPS delays. The turn around to sharpen was only a day as they stated.

We liked that they used the same packaging and knife sheaths that they provided us to package them with when they returned them. Felt environmentally friendly.

Our knives are so amazingly sharp now; like brand new sharp! We really thought we had ruined them over the years but not at all.

ONE CAVEAT, we only wound up getting 4 of the 5 sharpened because our 12" brisket slicer did not fit in the packaging.

Pricing was pretty much on par with other local sharpening services that we have seen since we decided to use Knife Aid.

In conclusion, this service was convenient, mostly time efficient and sharpened our knives really well at a competitive price. Highly recommend!

I had my knife sharpened for the first time about 2 years ago. The knives are Dalstrong brand, consisting of two paring knives, an 8 inch chef knife and a santoku knife. I had just over a year of use on them before the first sharpening. When I got them back the first time they were not much sharper than they went in with, I was a bit dismayed but did not address it. A couple years later I decided to tried the service one more time. When I got them back this time they were razor sharp. Very happy with the results! Second time is the charm.

We were always hesitant on getting our knives sharpened from anywhere. We read the reviews and saw the convenience of everything from getting the shipping package to packaging out our knives and getting back so quickly with little effort and we took a leap and absolutely loved the results on the sharpening of the knives. We went in with a family member and they also loved the results! We will definitely use KnifeAid again and recommend to everyone!!!!

Service was way faster than I expected, we sent our knives out and they were returned within the week! I had also purchased the wrong service for one of our knives and they refunded me, no questions asked. They even handled Japanese kitchen knives perfectly, and repaired one for us- you can't tell it was ever broken. We will definitely be using Knife aid again!
